Dear Anonymes,
I’m writing this letter from a train under the heat of molten lead (not the pen, we’re modern!). June was a month of hard work, and I’m excited to share the story of the creation of my first EP, the concert, and the summer projects.
EP Creation
It took months of work, but initially, I was relaxed about the timeline. When the La Griffe date in March was canceled, I realized I wasn’t ready yet. Then, the Sikaru date approached, and I had to start from scratch! The cover design, text, booklet, and photos were all created while keeping the Anonyme B style.
There were back-and-forth sessions, revisions (thanks, Laurianne), and a great idea for the CD (thanks, Guillaume) that I’ll let you discover.
The result: an 3-fold digipack EP with a 12-page booklet and a beautifully printed CD.
This first print of 200 numbered copies is a limited series. Each EP is unique, and that was very important to me!
Once everything was done, I was exactly on time for the 3-week production, and I sent everything to the printer in May. With all the holidays and weekends, I wasn’t sure until I got the CDs home. And they arrived early! I was very happy and proud to finally hold the music I created in my hands!
The EP includes 10 tracks – the first five are available on platforms, while the next five are live recordings from the Fort de Mons sessions! It’s a double EP, with studio and live versions. You can discover each song in a special piano-voice version!
If you want a copy, you can order it here, and if you’d like it signed, that’s also possible!
For those who might say, « I don’t have a CD player, what am I going to do with it? » Well, it’s a beautiful object, and it’s the first way you can financially support my music. It costs me 4.30€ per copy, and I’m selling it at 12€ to account for the production cost (estimated at 5.70€) and my payment (2€).
If you don’t want a CD, you can still support the project financially in September!
The EP is now ready and available for purchase! Yeeeeaaaaah!
Concert
The concert on June 13th at Sikaru was a great success! It was our first concert with Cenko), and it was a bit stressful, but the audience was very welcoming!
I played the classics like CQVPLA, HIVER MOROSE, and new songs like DANS NOS YEUX, J’HIBERNE, and RÉVOLUTION CANAPÉ, which will be part of the next EP!
There were some technical issues, but the audience was very kind and accepted the mistakes. I was relieved and happy to have managed to deliver what I wanted to offer the audience that night!
Cenko) followed up with the full release of his EP « Là où le ciel pleure » with the song « Flocons de neige, » which I highly recommend!
Summer Projects
This summer, we’ll continue our momentum and work on the concert, both in terms of the performance and the overall experience.
I’ve acquired a new stylish object called the Erae from the brand Embodme. It’s in my room for a month now, and I’m eager to test it out and use it on stage in the future. The goal is to use it for loops on stage and as a synthesizer.
I have many ideas to take this to the next level and to engage you more with the performance!
I’m also looking into organizing a percussion workshop in the summer. It’s a long-held desire, and I’d like to make it a reality to add more « body » to the concerts!
As you can see, the ideas are abundant, and they all point towards one goal: to create an amazing concert with beautiful instrumental moments and sharing.
I’m excited to meet you soon and to sing all my songs to you!
These years have taught me that the stage is really my second home. I feel comfortable there, and that’s where I want to grow even more, with you!
With these words, I wish you a wonderful summer: vibrant, moving, joyful, surprising, and refreshing!
I’ll see you soon for the next adventures, and I thank you for following along so closely. It’s a real pleasure to have your feedback and to feel that you’re listening to me!
Take care of yourselves and those around you, they are precious,
